In the past year Multiminded have done two large projection mapping projects and we have just been commissioned to do a third. Projection mapping is a great fit for Multiminded with Jim’s work as an animator and our projection and club visuals background. But also from his architectural animation experience bringing buildings to life.
We have produced a number of large scale outdoor multimedia events, most recently a projection mapping and sound installation as part of the celebrations for Hadrian’s Wall 1900. The projection for the Ouseburn Trust took place on the Cumberland Arms (the site of Milecastle 3 of the Roman wall) as the culmination of a full day of events. Here is a link to the tech rehearsal we conducted a few nights before the actual event:
Another notable event was a large projection on the Toffee Factory for their tenth anniversary where we projected onto two large walls of the building and also the connecting footbridge, Here is a link to that (we’ve just uploaded the video).
We have also collaborated with artist Deborah Snell on a projection for the Late Shows. Jim animated some of her lovely artwork.
Some years ago we produced an attraction for Enchanted Parks at Saltwell Park which involved using projectors and screens in the trees along with physical items and sound to create an underwater scene. We have also done a smaller projection mapping project for Open Studios at the Mushroom Works and some projection at the Late Shows at the Toffee Factory as part of our two night Hacienda Late Shows event.
Although not projection mapping – Multiminded’s Fiona has also had two short films shown on the big screen at Glastonbury Festival two years running selected by the BBC and Arts Council.
If you’d like to consider us for a potential projection mapping or projection project please get in touch.
